Ever since I switched to an SSD drive, Windows XP has been doing something strange; Almost every time I reboot my computer, it changes my desktop theme. Windows XP keeps reverting my display properties I have a similar problem occasionally; the system reverts to the display defaults instead of using my preferred settings. In conclusion, after narrowing down that the issue was software based, I narrowed it down to a hardware issue. Not sure why but it work for me.
