This is probably not the case, but if you check and your drive hasn’t been defragged in a while, you might have to start doing it manually. I believe it's possible to stop a defrag mid-way and then start again later which could be of use to you. The difference between Linux and Windows is not that Linux doesn't slow to a crawl on occasion. Next time you re-open your browser, it should be a lot cleaner. check over here
